74 Reviews. 4.88 Stars. People Are Actually Wearing These

TL;DR — A few months after we shipped the Lunar Tide 1, we now have 74 verified customer reviews averaging 4.88 stars. The words people keep using — comfortable, light, stays on, versatile, easy — are exactly the ones we hoped to earn. Here are a few of our favorites, in customers' own words.

The numbers

We didn't know what to expect. New brand, new shoe, weird-looking concept (a backless athletic slip-on?), no big marketing engine behind it. We launched, held our breath, and waited.

A few months in, the review wall reads like this:

  • 74 verified customer reviews
  • 4.88 out of 5 stars average
  • Reviewers describing wearing the LT1 to work, runs, nurse shifts, errands, dog walks, toddler chases, and — yes — berry picking

The reviews are public on the Lunar Tide 1 product page. Filter, sort, scroll. We're not going to summarize what they say better than they do.

A few we keep coming back to

Melissa H — nurse, on her feet all day

"The shoes are very comfortable, easy to slip in/out of (I work as a nurse) and has a wider toe box if needed. Very pleased with these shoes."

The nurse use case is one we hoped the LT1 would land on. Easy on/off matters when you're scrubbing in and out. Wide toe box matters when you're on your feet for twelve hours. Reading a verified review from someone actually living that day is the kind of validation we don't take for granted.

Joyce Y — runner, post-race recovery convert

"Have had my LT1 for a week and they've been everywhere with me from running errands to berry picking to car shopping. I'm a runner and they've also become my post race recovery shoes. I love the versatility, the super adorable look, and how easy it is to wear. Definitely a winner for me!"

That word — versatility — shows up over and over in the reviews. One shoe, many days, no thinking about it.

Patbob — "Best shoes I've owned in years"

"Best shoes I've owned in years…. exactly what I've been looking for. They fit great, are incredibly comfortable and look awesome. Pumped to take these adventuring this summer!"

We get this a lot too — people who came in skeptical (because backless athletic shoes sound like a contradiction) and walked out with a new daily driver.

Sina M — three pairs deep

"I love your shoes! They are the only thing comfortable for my feet! I love them so much I have three pair!"

Three pairs is the most honest review there is.

Lyssa M — chicken tending, dog walking, toddler chasing

"These beautiful shoes came fast, felt comfortable immediately, and magically stay on my feet for all sorts of activities (chicken tending, dog walking, toddler chasing). Love the color!!"

We can't make this up. We didn't write the brief and find reviewers to parrot it back. People are wearing the LT1 through the actual shape of their day.

The words that keep showing up

Sort the reviews by frequency and a small set of words rises to the top: comfortable, easy, light, stays on, wider toe box, versatile.

Those are the exact words we built the shoe around. Hearing them come back — unprompted, in dozens of customers' own phrasing — is the part of this we're proudest of.

What the not-five-star reviews say

We're not pretending every review is a rave. A small number of customers have asked for more arch support, or wanted a softer finish at the toe. We read every single one. The team is using that feedback as we keep refining the shoe and planning what comes next.

If you've left honest, critical feedback — thank you. That's the kind of input that gets a small brand to its second product.

Thank you

Reviews are the one thing money can't fake and pressure can't force. Every star, every paragraph, every "definitely a winner for me" is a person who didn't have to write anything and chose to anyway. That's the bet paying off, and it's the only kind of validation that means anything.

To the 74 of you who left a review: thank you. To the people wearing the shoe and meaning to leave one — please do, even one line helps the next person decide. And to the retailers who put the LT1 on their wall before any of these reviews existed: we owe you most of all.

What's next

June post will be the LT1 explainer we've been promising — what the shoe is, who it's for, and how the Slide-Fit lacing actually keeps a backless shoe on your foot. After that, we'll go deeper on specific use cases — nurses, travelers, runners, wide-foot wearers — using the reviews you've been sending in.

If you've got an LT1 story we should tell, send it to info@moondeck.co. We read everything.
