What is the Lunar Tide 1?
The Lunar Tide 1 (LT1) is a backless athletic shoe made by Moondeck. It has an open-heel design for easy on/off, an adjustable lace system for a secure fit, a wide natural toe box, and a cushioned dual-density sole with all-terrain rubber outsole. It is designed for active everyday use — trail walks, yoga, dock life, city commuting, and travel. It costs $130 USD.
How do I choose the right size?
The LT1 fits like a standard running shoe. Men should round up if between sizes; women should round down if between sizes. If you have wide feet or prefer more room, go up half a size. The removable insole adds about half a size of extra space when removed. A full insole length chart is available on the product page.
Are these shoes good for wide feet?
Yes. The LT1 was specifically designed with a wider-than-average, natural-shaped toe box to allow toes to splay freely. It is one of the primary differentiators versus traditional backless shoes. For very wide feet, removing the insole provides approximately half a size of additional width and volume.
Does Moondeck ship internationally?
No. Right now Moondeck only ships within the United States.
How long does shipping take?
Domestic US orders ship at a low flat rate. International shipping timelines vary by destination and are calculated at checkout. Contact info@moondeck.co for specific shipping estimates before ordering.
What is the return and exchange policy?
Moondeck offers free size and color exchanges. Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery for a $4.95 flat-rate return shipping fee. Shoes must be unworn and in original condition. Refunds are processed within 10 business days of receiving the return.
Can I use custom orthotics or insoles with the LT1?
Yes. The insole is fully removable, making the LT1 compatible with custom orthotics or aftermarket insoles. The shoe is designed to be worn with or without the included insole.
How do I care for the Lunar Tide 1?
Remove the insoles and wash on a cold, gentle machine cycle. Air dry only — do not use a dryer, as heat can affect the materials and shape. Replacing insoles periodically will keep the shoes feeling fresh.
What materials are the shoes made from?
The upper is a breathable knit mesh containing at least 20% recycled polyester. The footbed is contoured EVA cushioning. The outsole is multi-terrain rubber. The LT1 is manufactured in Vietnam at a factory Moondeck has visited in person.
Is there a warranty on Moondeck shoes?
